Polarising Lenses
A great option for sunglasses is polarising lenses as they block high glare reflections from horizontal surfaces. This might be the sun reflecting of a wet road for example. Polarising lenses are available in both prescription and non-prescription lenses.
Drivewear
A new type of sunglass lens available is Drivewear and it has combined photochromatic and polarised properties. This lens changes from a light yellow-brown to a dark brown depending on the light level, and they do react inside a car. Along with the polarising quality they are excellent both for driving and general outside use.
